Singapore Botanical Garden and Sentosa Island part 1

The second day of our journey began with the Botanical garden. It was easily accessible by taxi (really cheap and efficient!) from our Orchard Road/Scotts road hotel.

This is the entrance to the Singapore botanical garden. Normally I hate botanical gardens, but this one is very nice.

Mia really liked this tree, parasiting on another one.

This tree has roots which are huge! Just like it was picked from a Tolkein book, ready to attack us...

We went to the Orchid garden. This is a lot better than the orchid garden at Sentosa island.

Look at the nice colors (if your screen supports that...). We were here mid-day and were extremely wet and warm. Bring lot's of water!

Mia relaxing with an Orangina. This was really needed...

More orchids. Not allowed to pick unfourtunately.

Some of the plants are cut like animals...

Sentosa Island

Just after the trip to Haw Par Villa we decided to go to the Sentosa Island. This is a small resort island, almost like a theme park. Nice, but maybe a bit to made up.

On the way to Sentosa Island using the cable car.

Singapore world famous port. The biggest on the planet.
