Hong Kong Handover Fireworks part 1

OK, where to celebrate the Handover fireworks ? It was first a British fireworks where 27 ton were supposed to be fired off. The bill was footed by the ING Barings bank. All the handover activities were privately financed.

Judy invited us to a small informal gathering with some friends of hers in a high rise building by the peak. Sounds like a great idea, from here we will have an excellent view!

Mia in the subway on her way to the party.

The subway was absolutely jammed, especially on the Kowloon side by the Tsim Sha Tsui station.

We decided to meet in Lan Kwai Fong, by the Milk bar.

Handover Fireworks!

OK, time for the fireworks. All these photos are taken from the mid level placa of the high rise at the 23:rd floor. This was a large open atrium, perfect for viewing. The tallest building you see is the bank of China building.
