Third day at Bali, Sanur to Amed

This day we rented a car. We got it from a local agency at 40 000 INR/day + an insurance of around 78 000 INR6 day as we rented the car. We got the car empty without gas, so the first thing we had to do was to fill her up. At the gas station I was charged 57 000 INR/35 liters, which meant that I got ripped off for around 20 000 INR. That's life, don't worry. After the gas I searched for an ATM, and this was just across. I managed to use my Citibank Cirrus card to withdraw cash without any hassle at all. But bring either a Cirrus/plus card, not a VISA. On the island of Bali it appears as Master Card is the card of choice.

Giraya

Here you see us on our way through the city of Giraya. This symbol (Hindu ?) was very typical, we saw many of them around the way. A very beautiful road!

Rice Terraces near the village of Amlapura. Rice terraces are something really extraordinary, although Mia was very tired as we saw them.

Finally we found our home at Kusumajaya.
